It is made using a special casting technique used in automotive engineering, called gravity casting. After casting, the components are individually X-rayed for pockets of air, and each screw connection and bearing seat is CNC-milled to within one hundredth of a millimetre. This process yields what must be the most stable and durable interfaces, which are quite likely unique on the market.
